Southwest Region School District and Bristol Bay Campus developed a language app that helps people learn Yup’ik. The Yugtun Language App was launched in October 2019, and offers 45 lessons on basic vocabulary and grammar, quizzes, cultural lessons and historical photos. It also includes rhymes and a Yup’ik dance video.

The Yugtun Language App consists of over 600 recordings of fluent Native speakers’ voices, three levels of games, three types of quizzes, and a searchable database.
